Vemma Inside. Amazing Outside.
"Kudos" to UKS team Tri-Saucony Rumia, sponsored by Vemma Europe! On August 8 in Gdynia, Poland, they reigned triumphant in the Polish Championships Aquathlonie competition, winning five medals and seizing four championship titles.
The Vemma-sponsored UKS team powers up with Vemma and Verve as a way to help maintain health and wellness throughout training and gain an edge when their bodies require it most. Vemma helps them with an extra push to gain time and endurance in competition.
The young victors are aged 17 – 22, with their focus and specialties in swimming, triathlon, pentathlon, racewalking, sprint and Olympic triathlon and Half-Ironman. As individuals, these men and women began their quest for prize-winning performance 10 years ago.
For Rafal and Adam, their gold medal wins means qualification into the Polish National Team for the Olympic Games, and for bronze-medalist Maciej Kubiak, a kilometer closer to the World Cup Half Ironman in 2011. Monika Pieniazkiewicz took home a bronze medal with Zuzanna Ratkowska taking home a gold medal.
Vemma extends our best wishes and awestruck admiration for the UKS team Tri-Saucony Rumia and their athletic achievements!

The Value of a Handshake-- Online
The Internet has changed the way big business positions the marketing of their product or service. Traditionally, companies solely utilized highly creative, well thought out print, collateral, and broadcast advertising campaigns. The purpose was to manipulate the public into investing their dollars and often lack-of-sense into their branding message, thereby realizing sales. While creativity and strategy are still vital to successful marketing, the approach and media used had to be modified to serve the needs of the direct-selling industry.
For BK Boreyko, CEO and Founder of Vemma, the “old-school” methodology was never the right path for his business. “The money that would normally go to the cost of Wall Street advertising now goes into the pockets of those who have earned it—our Brand Partners.” In the August 2010 issue of Direct Selling News, BK is featured in an article showcasing social media and the part it plays in network marketing. Today, information about virtually anyone or anything is available at the click of a button. Wit has given way to truth. With social media, your promotional message is immediately visible-- with instantaneous results, favorable or not. Whether a Facebook post, blog or tweet, laptop or mobile device, people can respond to a business idea, opinion, or story without a second thought. The reason millions of people have chosen to be active participants in the social media forum is because everyone wants to be heard. To some business owners, knowing the truth is a scary notion.
For BK, social media and direct-selling are the perfect marriage. “Social media is network marketing on steroids. It’s what we do—talk, communicate and tell stories. Social media gives you a vehicle to do that on a worldwide platform.” He adds, “…people want to be listened to.”
The advantage of utilizing social media to build your business is that it is time-sensitive. When you put your “word” out into cyberspace, you can readjust, rebuke, revise and recaptivate your audience simultaneously in answer to their responses.
But how do you measure their response, or the return on investment “ROI” of the social aspect of network marketing? The cost and return of the marketing investment creates the weight of its value. So can you really give a finite dollar amount to social media and its rate of return?
Yes. We are not in the business of service, but the business of people. It’s all about the relationship, and the value of that is immeasurable.
BK tells Direct Selling News that Vemma intends to “cast the biggest net possible.” Brand Partners know that their success is predicated on the amount of people we touch, similar to the “law of averages”.
“If you’re in the people business, you have to be where the people are,” states BK. Currently with over 13,500 fans on Vemma’s Facebook fan page, and more friends than he can count, for BK, it is evident that the power of a viral handshake is in the number of people it touches. Nelson Rides Higher in 2010
Surrounded by cycling’s finest like Lance Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer, Brand Partner Craig Nelson will again take position at the starting line in this year’s Leadville 100. The mountain bike race takes place on August 14 in the welcoming, small town of Leadville located amidst the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Just coming off the heels of the 50 mile Leadville Silver Rush Race, Craig is focused on continuing his heightened performance in time, strength, and endurance as evident by recent finishes. Of the 472 competitors in the Silver Rush, he placed 14th overall while coming in 2nd in his age class. See here.

Craig will be joined in the Leadville 100 by fellow Brand Partner Ambassador Tyler Ford. Both are from the same cycling circuit and recently finished the 2010 Whiskey Row race in Prescott Arizona.
They are to don bright orange Vemma branded shirts for the Leadville 100.
Wellness Shared is Environmentally Sound
Giving to others is something Vemma Founder and CEO BK Boreyko takes to heart and mind. Philanthropic acts are the basis of Vemma’s mission for our Brand Partners, our Customers, our Prospects, our Employees and children in need. So when BK came across nearly 300 computer systems, 500 pounds of network and power cables, televisions, a bounty of office equipment, furniture and supplies worth thousands of dollars—all slated for the landfill—his generosity dictated a twofold solution.
Recycle Technology for Children
Some of the computers and adjoining equipment were donated to Charity Recycling, a collection and processing center, in partnership with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Arizona “BBBSAZ”. The organization takes computer equipment, frequently sent to our landfills where it can take up to 200 years to fully decompose, and reassigns it to BBBSAZ. The recycling program enables the children of BBBSAZ access to technology they would not otherwise be able to afford. The community benefits from an educational standpoint, while the environment is preserved.
Michael Jacks, President of Charity Recycling, is appreciative of BK’s thoughtfulness. “We want to thank you for your generosity…the computer equipment that was donated will be of great help…your kindness will make a difference for many children.”, Jacks stated after receiving the donation.
The Marc Center of Mesa, Arizona was also a recipient of the donation. This private, not-for-profit corporation provides educational, therapeutic, rehabilitation, wellness and social services to children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
Vemma calls on the Marc Center often to provide us with helping hands on a variety of projects. When the opportunity presented itself to give back for their unyielding efforts, BK was instrumental in making it happen expediently and immensely.
BK lives both sides of wellness…enriching people’s lives from within by sharing wellness throughout—a position we all stand behind proudly every day.
Verve Warriors Reach Milestone
Going the extra mile is part of Vemma’s culture. Sharing the benefits of nutrition help educate communities about the importance of making wellness a conscious choice in one’s life. In support of this goal, Star Ambassador, Cindy Smith funded her own outreach program entitled “Verve Warrior” which just celebrated its first anniversary at the end of the 2010 high school year.
Cindy approached athletic coaches asking for their assistance in identifying one standout student each month. Students are evaluated on their sacrifices made and performances achieved in academics, music, and sports. In addition to the Verve Quad Pack they receive, winners are granted a photo "op" with their coach or teacher, and their picture is then showcased on campus.
"Verve Warrior rewards students for their demonstrated excellence," elaborates Cindy. “It’s our responsibility to do all we can to raise leaders.”
The recipients are further recognized at the end-of-year assembly and awarded a personalized plaque with, "The Sky's the Limit when your Heart is in it. Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it!" inscribed.
Building a business starts with building people--just one of many philosophies Verve Warriors was founded upon. As Cindy looks to her goals now set for 2011, she offers a challenge to fellow Vemma Brand Partners saying, “Encourage people by starting your own community program. Show your heart. It’s a positive way to build brand awareness!"
Brand Partners are the face of Vemma. Your actions speak loudly; your achievements referred proudly.
