In the Right Place at the Right Time
Mary Tack speaking at the 2007 Vemma Convention in Las Vegas

It was a leap of faith that led Mary Tack to leave a network marketing company she had worked with for ten years and join Vemma in 2005, a move she attributes to being "in the right place at the right time." Now Presidential and an active member of the dynamic ‘Coffee Shop Club’ in Bloomington, Illinois, Mary’s journey to success was full of well-timed moves, a team of encouraging leaders, and faith two years ago in the potential of a start-up company that has now paid out millions of dollars in commissions.

"It started when I moved to Nashville a few years ago where I was introduced to the health benefits of mangosteen," recounts Mary. "I have a background in wellness and immediately began to do my homework on the fruit."

Mary and her husband, Ralph, didn’t stay in the city for long but she believes that the purpose of her brief time there was to learn about mangosteen. Shortly after the couple returned to Illinois, Mary began inquiring about Christian organizations in her community and was put in touch with Gary Brady.

"When I spoke to Gary about Vemma for the first time, I had to do my own research on the products because my traditional wellness training had taught me that we needed to rely solely on whole food for our nutrients and not supplements." It didn’t take long for Mary to be convinced that this young company had potential and she wanted to be a part of it. "Vemma is the perfect vehicle for enhancing the health of the people we care about and a great opportunity to increase our finances. The money isn’t the important part, however. It is nice, but the friendships are what make it all worthwhile."

Brew Up Your Business with the Coffee Shop Club!Developing relationships is the mission of the weekly "Coffee Shop Clubs" that Mary is involved in with Gary Brady and Ruth Elliot in Bloomington. Anywhere from 50 to 60 Team Members and potential Members meet at a local coffee shop every Wednesday to share their experiences and exchange business building ideas. "We meet every week because we believe that consistency is an integral part of a successful business," said Mary. "I’ve witnessed that the ones who are productive and seeing growth in this company are the ones that stick together and stay connected." Mary and her fellow leaders are not only mentors for the regular attendees but are introducing new people to Vemma in a comfortable environment. "We are like one big family, constantly encouraging each other that we are in the right place at the right time to be a part of something huge."

Mary is committed to keeping in touch with her downline and is constantly traveling the state to stay in close contact with her groups. "Every two weeks, Gary and I head up to Ottawa, Illinois to meet with 50 to 60 members there. Ottawa is a small town with a big future. Even the UPS man is selling Vemma there now! My brother, Gary Glabe, started a group in Carlinville, Illinois last year and I visit twice a month. I am so encouraged by the growth I witness every time I go."

Excited about what the future holds, Mary is confident that this business is going to change more lives than ever in the coming months. "I believe that Vemma is going to sky-rocket this year. There is so much opportunity and I feel like I’ve been preparing for this time my entire life."

"All of a sudden I feel like I’m starting my life over. I love what I’m doing!"
