Manny Mixes with Mercury!

Brad Perry, Arizona News Channel 3 meteorologist, was on hand August 5 to watch a Phoenix Mercury basketball game with his friends from Best Buddies, when an unbelievably large and militant mangosteen showed up and began to mix it up with Vemma®.

Manny the Mangosteen arrived just in time to begin handing out V2 to Mercury fans, Best Buddies participants, and Brad Perry himself.  When asked how people were responding to V2, Manny was silent – because he can’t talk, it turns out – but there was a gleam in one eye as he gestured to his empty box, the empty bottles in trash bins all around, and the smiles on the faces of everyone nearby.  Manny is pictured below with Brad Perry and one of his Best Buddies (with bottle of V2 in hand!).

Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.  Brad Perry became involved in the organization after visiting local schools and meeting some of the participants.  Since then, he’s championed awareness for the group by participating in bicycle races and in public appearances, including his August 5 outing with Manny at the Mercury game in Phoenix, Arizona.  Vemma joined Brad by supporting him in his last bike race.

Vemma thanks Brad, Manny, the Phoenix Mercury, and everyone at Best Buddies for an event no one will soon forget!
